Welcoming the libsurvive project

Collabora's involvement in Open Source XR development continues to grow today as we welcome the libsurvive project into the fold! The open source lighthouse tracking system is entering an exciting new chapter as it transitions its ownership over to our GitHub organization where we will have two members from our XR team as official maintainers.

Due to other commitments, the previous maintainers have decided to step back and pass the torch to ensure the project continues to thrive. We are grateful for their contributions and look forward to supporting the project as much as we can.

Libsurvive is a set of open source tools and libraries that enable 6 dof tracking on lighthouse and vive-based systems, and can run on any device. It currently supports both SteamVR 1.0 and SteamVR 2.0 generation of devices, and is also easily usable with Monado, the cross-platform, open source XR runtime.

This is an exciting moment to further push 6 dof tracking for all devices in a true, open source fashion. Catch us on the libsurvive Discord to stay in the loop for the latest news!
