Next week, the Rust community will be meeting up for RustWeek 2026 in Utrecht, Netherlands. Taking place May 18–23, 2026 at Kinepolis Jaarbeurs, this is the world's largest community-driven Rust conference. The week-long event includes workshops, two days of talks, a hackathon, the Rust Project All Hands, and more.
Tyr is an open-source Rust graphics driver for Arm Mali GPUs, developed jointly by Collabora, Google, and Arm. To showcase what Tyr can do, and celebrate the progress we've made, we're running a SuperTuxKart tournament during the two-day conference! Attendees can play throughout the conference at the Google sponsors' table and in the community area. Come test the driver, compete for prizes, and learn how you can contribute to this open source, upstream project.
Up for grabs for 1st place: a SteelSeries Arctis Nova 3P wireless multi-platform gaming headset, which comes with out of the box firmware updates on Linux via fwupd!
If you're attending RustWeek, drop by our table and try your luck for the first place spot.
Game on!
