IBC Show returns to the RAI Amsterdam from September 11–14, drawing the global media, entertainment, and technology community together to explore emerging tech and shape where the industry is headed next.

As always, Open Source is at the heart of everything we do, and this year's Collabora showcase is no different. Stop by Booth A63 in Hall 14 for live demos spanning AI attention detection via GStreamer Analytics, real-time sports analysis with GStreamer, and remote rendering for standalone XR through ElectricMaple. We'll also be showing off our AMD Ryzen AI Halo-powered Magic Mirror, which lets visitors try on augmented reality clothing swaps in real time.

Open Source at IBC 2026:

  • GStreamer Analytics attention Monitor

This demo combines GStreamer Analytics with LiteRT inference, accelerated by the VeriSilicon delegate on the Realtek RTD1619B AIoT SoC. Lightweight face-detection and head-pose models generate metadata used to infer viewer attention and control playback, starting the video when the user looks at the display and pausing it when they look away.

  • ElectricMaple

An innovative project that was designed to enhance standalone XR experiences through remote-rendering. Leveraging the power of Monado OpenXR and GStreamer, ElectricMaple enables high-quality XR streaming from graphics-capable servers to lightweight standalone headsets. The benefits of remote-rendered content include superior graphics quality, reduced device cost and complexity, longer battery life, and alleviated heat management.

  • From Linux to Catwalk

Try our magic mirror, an augmented reality experience for seamless virtual clothing swaps, powered by AMD Ryzen AI Halo. Built with GStreamer Analytics and a ROCm inference backend, the demo combines real-time video processing, person tracking, and generative AI in a single pipeline, showing how interactive vision workloads can run locally.

  • Video - GStreamer Analytics for live action sports

This pipeline integrates ONNX inference directly within GStreamer, producing analytics-ready insights while maintaining seamless playback. The demo will show the same approach applied to footage from horse racing, soccer, and greyhound racing, highlighting how video can be processed and enriched with automated detection, tracking, and analytics for use in broadcasting, coaching, and fan engagement.

During IBC, our very own Marcus Edel will join the panel Building the AI-Ready Media Enterprise on the Future Tech Stage. The discussion will explore how media organizations are moving beyond AI experimentation to build the infrastructure, data foundations, and operational capabilities needed to deploy AI at scale, including customizing and integrating open source AI models. Catch Marcus on Sunday, September 13, from 14:30–15:15.

Collabora @ IBC Show 2026
