Next week, the B2B community for extended reality will be coming together in Stuttgart, Germany, to explore the latest XR solutions and share industry insights at XR Expo 2026. Taking place April 28-29 at Messe Stuttgart, Collabora will be present with a booth to showcase the latest advancements we've made with Monado, the Open Source, cross-platform OpenXR runtime.
Visit us at Booth Hall 2, 2C22, to see how Monado has now become the leading foundation for OpenXR runtimes. We'll also be demonstrating ElectricMaple, an innovative project that was designed to enhance standalone XR experiences through remote-rendering. Leveraging the power of Monado OpenXR and GStreamer, ElectricMaple enables high-quality XR streaming from graphics-capable servers to lightweight standalone headsets. The benefits include superior graphics quality, reduced device cost and complexity, extended battery life, and improved heat management.
Beyond our booth demos, you can also catch two talks by our own Frederic Plourde, who will dive into the strides made in Monado and the work that has brought OpenXR to where it is today.
If you’ll be at XR Expo next week and want to chat about how we can support your Open Source XR projects, get in touch. Our team would be happy to set up a time to meet.
